“We had an amazing experience with Dalal Dakar! Our two days in Dakar were the perfect introduction to the city’s history, culture, and vibrant energy. The highlight was our trip to the Iles de Saloum, where we explored the stunning mangroves, took a peaceful pirogue ride, and enjoyed incredible local hospitality – including tasting ‘thiebou dieune’ (a rice and fish dish). Everything was seamlessly organised – from lunches to long drives. We were a little bit nervous before travelling – as non-French (or Wolof!!) speakers, we could not have navigated our trip without support so thanks to the team for making sure we had an unforgettable time. “Just back from an beautiful and fascinating two week trip to Senegal, planned to perfection by DD. They really went above and beyond to tailor the experience to my partner and my interests and were very thoughtful in cocooning us from some of the stress of visiting west Africa for the first time. The tour of Dakar with Alioune was really interesting, with lovely small touches like bringing a boat right onto the beach to easily step onto and take us to a restaurant on a small island to picking restaurants to cater for our dietary requirements. As avid runners, they recommended the best beaches/ tranquil places to safely go for a long run on which was a real highlight. DD chose beautiful hotels for us in every place from a secluded courtyard oasis to a beach top place with breathtaking views to accompany your breakfast and yoga in the morning. We even flew with Alioune to Cap Skirring – a real highlight. Having their local knowledge and tips really made all the difference, there is no way we would have had as much of an authentic experience or seen such variety without DD.”
